STOP PRESS
APOLOGY: We regret that, due to the Editor's computer having been hacked, we cannot produce a July edition, which was due on July 5th. Sorry.
URGENT: The 1937 bronze indicator plate on Beinn a' Gudairean has been prised from its base and removed, on some date between September 8 (seen by Tom Smith) and Christmas. It will be helpful to close that gap further - if you have a dated photograph, or if you have seen it in position (or missing) and can give a precise date, please reply here or email byrne@colonsay.org.uk or call 01951 200320. Any information will be welcome. The plate can be left at any police station, yacht club or church with a label to contact the above number. If you have a rubbing or a good picture of the plate, please get in touch.
Thanks to Ruari Cumming ARPS, we now have a good image of the plate itself:

ISSUE 248, June 2012
For various technical reasons, there is a break with tradition this month.... Geaspar Byrne has kindly prepared the issue as a PDF, but by embedding it in this skeleton cover we still have the option to add Stop Press or Rolling news if required. Follow this link to:
